In this talk, we introduce padded Schubert polynomials which come out of the study of the Sperner property of the weak Bruhat order of type A. We then present applications of them to weighted enumerations of chains in the Bruhat order, providing common generalizations to both the code weights and the Chevalley weights. Several open problems will be mentioned.
