On April 30, 2023, the 2023 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei DNA Storage Frontier Seminar was hosted by Tianjin Association of Science and Technology and sponsored by Tianjin University Advanced Research Institute of Synthetic Biology, Tianjin National Center for Applied Mathematics, and Tianjin University Advanced Science Center of Synthetic Biology of the Ministry of Education in Wuqing District, Tianjin.

The conference focused on the key scientific issues, including technical problems and industrialization bottlenecks faced by the development of DNA storage, discussed the future development of DNA storage in the form of academician reports, experts, enterprises, and investment, formed a collision of DNA storage scientific ideas, built a high-end research platform at the forefront of DNA storage, and promoted the high-quality development of DNA storage in China. This conference invited a number of experts and scholars in the field of DNA information storage to give presentations. Technical experts from well-known domestic universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and listed companies such as Huawei and GeneScript completed 14 technical reports. The conference attracted more than 200 participants and a number of investment institutions.
