报告摘要Our aim in this talk is to discuss the Cahn-Hilliard equation with a (nonlinear) source term and a logarithmic potential. In particular, we discuss existence of weak solutions and additional regularity. Such an equation has applications in many areas such as image processing, biology, tumor growth, etc.

报告人简介Professor Alain Miranville is a famous mathematician in PDEs and infinite-dimensional dynamical systems, especially the research on Cahn-Hilliard equations. Professor Alain has got his Ph.D. from University Paris XI supervised by most famous mathematician Professor Roger Temam, and now Alain is a Distinguished Professor of Applied Math. in University of Poitiers, France. Professor Alain has published more than 260 papers in SCI journals with high quality, and served as the editor or editor-in-chief for many international journals, such as DCDS, Adv. Nonlinear Anal., Appl. Math. & Optim., J. Nonlinear Funct. Anal., Math. Meth. Appl. Sci., and so on. Professor Alain has won outstanding research award of SIAM in 2019, because of his research in Cahn-Hilliard equations and its applications.
